  • 1 can sliced peaches You can use fresh peaches if in season.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be replaced with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste if preferred less sweet.
  • 1 cup milk Use whole or 2% milk for best results.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Melt before adding to the mixture.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder Ensure it’s fresh for best rising.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Can substitute with almond extract for a twist.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness in the cobbler.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour the canned peaches (with juice) evenly over the batter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in microwave or oven.
