Ingredients
  

Dumpling Ingredients
  • 15 pieces Dumpling wrappers Use fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Ground meat (chicken or beef) Feel free to substitute
  • 1/4 cup Green onions, chopped For filling flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce Add more for extra flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced Fresh for best taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Oil for pan frying Use more for a crispier base
  • to taste Chili oil or dipping sauce For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine ground meat, green onions, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the mixture into the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Fold the wrappers and seal them (no complicated folding required).
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the dumplings.
  2. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then add a small amount of water and cover to steam for a few minutes.
  3. Serve hot with chili oil or your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For uncooked dumplings, freeze them for up to a month. Reheat cooked dumplings by pan-frying again until heated through.
