Preparation
  1. Choose your appetizers: Begin by selecting a handful of recipes that appeal to you and your guests. Aim for a mix of textures and flavors.
  2. Prep ingredients: Wash and cut fresh vegetables, arrange meats and cheeses, and prepare any dips well in advance.
Assembly
  1. For skewers, thread pieces of meats, cheese, and veggies onto skewers in combinations that please the eye.
  2. For spreads, arrange ingredients on platters artistically.
Serving
  1. Keep your appetizers chilled until it’s time to serve. Many dips taste great chilled, while warm appetizers can be prepared just before your guests arrive.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator. Cold appetizers can last up to 3 days, while warm items should be enjoyed within 2 days for optimal freshness. Avoid freezing creamy dips as it can alter their texture.
