Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
Cooking the Filling
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; cook until browned.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked beef with ricotta cheese until well combined.
Assembling the Dish
- Stuff each pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish, then arrange the stuffed shells on top of the sauce.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Baking
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For variations, consider using ground turkey, adding vegetables to the ricotta mixture, or using Alfredo sauce instead of marinara.
