Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a small baking pan (8×8).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the oil or melted butter, cocoa powder, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, and mix until completely combined.
- Stir in the flour and salt, and mix until just combined—try not to over-mix!
- Spread the batter evenly in the greased or lined pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Notes
Allow brownies to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. They last 3-4 days at room temperature, or freeze for up to three months. For serving, they can be topped with ice cream, dusted with powdered sugar, or drizzled with caramel.
