Ingredients

For the brownie pops
  • 1 box (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Supreme original brownie mix Classic mix for rich, chocolatey goodness.
  • as needed water
  • as needed vegetable oil
  • as needed eggs
  • 16 sticks craft sticks Flat wooden sticks for portability.
  • 1 ¼ cups semisweet chocolate chips For luscious coating.
  • 2 teaspoons shortening To keep chocolate smooth.
  • as needed assorted Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors For decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box to preheat your oven.
  2. Prepare the brownie batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with the required water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Bake: Pour the batter into a greased baking pan. Bake as directed until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  4. Cool: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  5. Form brownie balls: Once cooled, scoop out portions of the brownie and roll them into balls. Each ball should be about 1 inch in diameter. Insert craft sticks into each brownie ball.
  6. Melt chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and shortening. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
  7. Coat brownie pops: Dip each brownie pop into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Let the excess chocolate drip off.
  8. Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your choice of decorating decors over them.
  9. Chill: Place the brownie pops in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens.
  10. Serve and enjoy: They are now ready to be served!

Notes

Store the brownie pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To freeze, wrap each pop in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag; they'll last up to 3 months.
