- In a large measuring cup or saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, dark chocolate cocoa powder, and dark chocolate chips.
- Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring often, until the dark chocolate chips have melted and all lumps are gone. Remove from heat.
- Add in the whipping cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and a dash of salt. Stir to combine all ingredients well.
Churning
- Set up your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn until frozen, typically about 20-25 minutes.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the freezer to keep it fresh. Best enjoyed within two weeks. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to soften slightly.
