- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
- Gently fold in the caramel sauce until it’s well blended throughout the cream mixture.
- If you're adding toffee bits and a pinch of sea salt, fold them in now to enhance the flavor profile.
Churning
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically around 25 minutes.
- Once churned, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up before serving.
Notes
For the perfect scoop, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving. This ice cream can also be served topped with additional caramel sauce, sprinkled sea salt, or crumbled toffee bits.
