Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream Use high-quality for best flavor.
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Ensure it’s fully dissolved.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce Use high-quality for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup toffee bits Optional for a crunchy texture.
  • pinch sea salt Optional for a sweet and salty balance.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Gently fold in the caramel sauce until it’s well blended throughout the cream mixture.
  3. If you're adding toffee bits and a pinch of sea salt, fold them in now to enhance the flavor profile.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically around 25 minutes.
  2. Once churned, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up before serving.

Notes

For the perfect scoop, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving. This ice cream can also be served topped with additional caramel sauce, sprinkled sea salt, or crumbled toffee bits.
