Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop the cucumbers and tomatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Thinly slice the red onion.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onion.
  4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  7. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best freshness, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Add dressing just before serving to maintain crunchiness.
