  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg Increase for stronger flavor if desired

Method
 

Preparation and Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set, and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow the pie to cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or cold, topped with whipped cream or ice cream. This pie can be stored covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
