Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds sirloin or chuck steak, cut into bite-sized pieces Any cut suitable for slow cooking can be used.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best results.
  • 1/2 cup beef broth (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional) Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Trim and cut the steak into uniform bite-sized pieces. Optional: Sear in a skillet for extra flavor.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
Cooking
  1. Add steak bites to the crockpot and pour the sauce over them, stirring to coat evenly.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
  3. When done, stir gently and garnish with chopped parsley and more Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, consider marinating the steak bites overnight in a mix of beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. If a thicker sauce is desired, add a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water) to the sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
