Ingredients
  

For the Hot Chocolate
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Choose good quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Lightly grease the inside of the crock pot and set it to low heat.
  2. Pour in the whole milk and heavy cream.
  3. Add sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and cocoa powder.
  4. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring every 30–45 minutes.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt once fully melted.
  7. Switch to 'warm' setting for serving.
  8. Ladle into mugs and garnish with toppings as desired.

Notes

Serve in festive mugs topped with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or marshmallows. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
