Ingredients

For the Filling
  • 1 cup Cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup Fresh spinach (chopped) Use fresh for better flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic (mashed)
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets (4-6 ounces each)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper To season the salmon

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped spinach, mashed garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and cumin. Stir until everything is well blended.
  3. Gently pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season both sides generously with ground black pepper.
  4. Use a sharp knife to create a pocket in the center of each salmon fillet, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  5. Spoon the creamy spinach filling into the pocket of each salmon fillet.
Cooking
  1. Place the stuffed salmon on a greased baking sheet or in a lightly greased dish.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
  1. Once done, remove from the oven and allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Fresh spinach is preferable. Customize the filling with crushed red pepper flakes or other ingredients like sun-dried tomatoes or feta cheese.
