  • 12 oz Pasta (such as fettuccine or penne) Choose pasta shapes that hold onto sauce well.
Creamy Pesto Sauce
  • 1 cup Creamy pesto sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For sautéing.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup Grilled chicken Marinate in lemon juice and herbs for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup Vegetables (such as cherry tomatoes or spinach) Feel free to customize with any vegetables you enjoy.
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Shredded or grated.
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Prepare Sauce
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the creamy pesto sauce.
  2. If using, add grilled chicken and sauté until heated through.
  3. Add any vegetables and cook until just tender.
Combine and Serve
  1. Toss the cooked pasta with the pesto mixture until well coated.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, and top with parmesan cheese.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Creamy Pesto Pasta is great for meal prepping. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of water to revive the sauce. Avoid freezing this dish as it may separate when thawed.
