  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped Can substitute with other dried fruits
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped Consider roasting for enhanced flavor
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey Plus extra for drizzling if desired
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the goat cheese, chopped cranberries, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball.
  3. Roll the cheese ball in the chopped pecans until well coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

Can be made a day or two in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper to the mixture. Experiment with various herbs or spices to create different flavor profiles.
