  • 1 cup cottage cheese Well-drained

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to avoid lumps.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until everything is combined.
  5. Beat in the egg and milk until the dough reaches a cohesive texture.
  6. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into buns. Aim for a uniform size for even baking.
  7. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and smell heavenly.
  2. Allow the buns to cool before slicing and using them for your favorite burger patties.

Notes

To keep your buns fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze them wrapped individually for up to 3 months.
