  • 1 cup cottage cheese Can use low-fat cottage cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute half for whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • sesame seeds Optional topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese and eggs, mixing until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cottage cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Add olive oil and mix well.
  6. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into buns.
  7. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool before slicing and using for your favorite burger patties.

Notes

These buns are great for sliders or any type of burger. You can spread butter or garlic spread on them for extra flavor.
