Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (chilled) Make sure the coffee is chilled before adding.
  • 3/4 cup sugar Ensure sugar is completely dissolved.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Flecks
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (finely chopped) Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, chilled brewed coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker, churning according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. When you’re just about done churning, sprinkle in the finely chopped dark chocolate.
Freezing
  1. Once your ice cream is ready, transfer it into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Notes

This ice cream can last up to two weeks in the freezer but is best enjoyed fresh. If it hardens too much, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. For serving, consider adding cocoa powder, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream.
