Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (chilled)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (finely chopped) Use high-quality dark chocolate for best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, chilled brewed coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. When almost done churning, sprinkle in the finely chopped dark chocolate.
Freezing
  1. Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up.

Notes

Serve in a chilled bowl or cone. Garnish with chocolate sauce or fresh coffee beans. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
