Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet or loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in milk for 3–5 minutes to ensure moistness.
- Add ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and parsley to the bowl. Mix gently until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet or press it into a loaf pan.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the topping ingredients (ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar) and spread it evenly over the loaf.
Baking
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store leftover meatloaf wrapped in plastic wrap or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze wrapped tightly for up to 3 months.
