Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas Use very ripe bananas for a natural sweetness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup whole milk Can substitute with almond milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar Can reduce for less sweetness or substitute with honey.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-Ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Omit for a nut-free version.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss the ripe bananas into a blender along with the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  2. Blend everything together until it's super smooth and creamy.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  2. In the final moments of churning, sprinkle in the chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chips, mixing well.
Freezing
  1. Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Notes

For best quality, store in an airtight container in the freezer. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes if it hardens too much. Avoid storing in the freezer door, which has fluctuating temperatures.
