  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter For mashing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into large chunks.
  3. In a large pot, boil the sweet potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
Mashing
  1. Add the butter, hot honey, salt, and pepper to the sweet potatoes. Mash gently until just combined but still chunky.
Baking
  1. Transfer the sweet potato mixture to a greased baking dish.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top is slightly crispy.
  3. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired, before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, consider mixing in a splash of milk or cream while mashing. If you want a crunchy topping, you can add breadcrumbs or pecans before baking.
