Cupcake Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's softened for easier mixing.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • Food coloring (red and green) For festive colors.
Decoration Ingredients
  • Frosting (buttercream or cream cheese) Choose your preferred frosting.
  • Sprinkles For decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined to avoid overmixing.
Baking
  1. Divide the batter into two bowls and add red coloring to one and green to the other, mixing until you achieve your desired shades.
  2. Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  3. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting them.
Decoration
  1. Decorate with your choice of frosting and generously sprinkle with festive decorations.

Notes

Store the cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Best consumed within 3 days if decorated with frosting.
