Preparation
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and form it into 4 patties.
Cooking
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the desired doneness is reached. Ensure the internal temperature is at least 160°F for ground beef.
- During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
Assembly
- Assemble the burgers by placing the melted patty on the bun, adding a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce, and topping with lettuce and tomato if desired.
