Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Add salt, vanilla, and eggs; beat until combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake until cookies are golden brown around the edges, about 12-15 minutes.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Serve cookies warm for a gooey treat or at room temperature. Pair with milk, coffee, or tea. Can be wrapped to make a lovely gift.
