Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 1 box brownie mix Any brand of your preference.
  • 2 tablespoons water Add according to package instructions.
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg Use room temperature for smoother batter.
Filling
  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips For melting and dipping.
  • 1 tablespoon shortening Optional for melting chocolate.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions using water, oil, and egg.
  3. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes.
  4. While the brownies are baking, scoop small balls of cookie dough and freeze them until firm.
Assembly & Baking
  1. Once the brownies have finished baking, remove them from the oven and place the frozen cookie dough balls evenly across the surface.
  2. Cover the cookie dough balls with the remaining brownie batter and spread it out evenly.
  3. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Finishing Touches
  1. Allow the brownie bombs to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
  2. Melt the chocolate chips with shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Dip each brownie bomb into the melted chocolate and let them set on a wire rack.

Notes

These brownie bombs can be served warm with ice cream or dusted with powdered sugar for special occasions.
