  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the thick-cut bacon until crispy. Once done, remove from the pan and let it drain on paper towels. Reserve about 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease in the skillet.
  2. While the bacon cooks, arrange your tortilla chips on a large serving platter.
  3. Once the bacon is crispy, add the salsa to the skillet with the reserved bacon grease. Stir gently to combine and heat through.
  4. Pour the salsa over the tortilla chips, ensuring they are well-covered but not soggy.
  5. In the same skillet, crack the eggs and cook them sunny-side up or over-easy, depending on your preference.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the salsa-covered chips and follow with chopped bacon. Let it melt slightly.
  7. Gently place the cooked eggs on top. Add salt, pepper, and your choice of optional garnishes like avocado and fresh cilantro before serving.
