  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Serving Materials
  • Pita bread or flatbreads For serving
  • Fresh vegetables (like tomato, cucumber) For serving
  • Chopped parsley For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together garlic, yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, coating them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  3. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serving
  1. Serve the sliced chicken in pita bread or flatbreads with fresh vegetables, and drizzle garlic sauce on top.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Marinate the chicken overnight for the best flavor. Use a meat thermometer to check if the chicken has reached 165°F (75°C) for safe consumption. Customize your fillings by adding other vegetables like bell peppers or lettuce.
