Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Lay 2 slices of prosciutto and 3 sage leaves on each chicken breast.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the chicken, prosciutto side down, in the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully flip the chicken and add the white wine.
- Allow the wine to reduce for a minute, then add the butter.
- Baste the chicken with the sauce and transfer the skillet to the oven.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Serving
- Serve hot with the sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, warm gently in a skillet with a splash of wine or broth.
