Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 12 leaves fresh sage Also add extra for garnish if desired
  • 1 cup white wine A dry white wine works best
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • as needed Olive oil For cooking

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Lay 2 slices of prosciutto and 3 sage leaves on each chicken breast.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Place the chicken, prosciutto side down, in the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Carefully flip the chicken and add the white wine.
  4. Allow the wine to reduce for a minute, then add the butter.
  5. Baste the chicken with the sauce and transfer the skillet to the oven.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with the sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, warm gently in a skillet with a splash of wine or broth.
