Method

Marinate the Chicken
  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Cook the Chicken
  1. Preheat your grill or oven. If grilling, cook the chicken on medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. If baking, place it on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Toast the Bread
  1. While the chicken is cooking, toast your bread slices until lightly golden.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips. Place a slice of chicken on a piece of toasted bread, add lettuce, tomato, and cheese if desired, then spread with mayonnaise or your favorite sauce. Top with another slice of bread.
Serve
  1. Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately while warm.

Notes
