Ingredients

Pizza Base
  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Sauce and Toppings
  • 1 cup rich Alfredo sauce (homemade or high-quality jarred)
  • 1.5 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed Leftover or rotisserie chicken works well.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Use freshly grated for best results.
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Grate fresh for optimal flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) For added heat.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing the dough.

Method

Preparation and Preheating
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or a piece of parchment paper.
  3. Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to ensure a golden, crispy crust.
Layering the Toppings
  1. Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch of space around the edges for the crust.
  2. Sprinkle minced garlic and dried oregano over the sauce.
  3. Distribute the cooked chicken evenly across the pizza.
  4. Cover everything with a generous layer of mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking to Perfection
  1. Place the pizza in the center rack of the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  2. Keep a close eye during the last few minutes to prevent the white sauce from drying out.
Finishing and Serving
  1. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes before slicing to allow the sauce to set.
  2. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, don't overload the sauce to prevent a soggy crust. Using rotisserie chicken adds flavor and saves time. Pre-bake the crust if you prefer a crispier base. Grate your own cheese for the best melt and texture.
