Preparation and Preheating
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or a piece of parchment paper.
- Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil to ensure a golden, crispy crust.
Layering the Toppings
- Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about an inch of space around the edges for the crust.
- Sprinkle minced garlic and dried oregano over the sauce.
- Distribute the cooked chicken evenly across the pizza.
- Cover everything with a generous layer of mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking to Perfection
- Place the pizza in the center rack of the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Keep a close eye during the last few minutes to prevent the white sauce from drying out.
Finishing and Serving
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes before slicing to allow the sauce to set.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Slice into wedges and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, don't overload the sauce to prevent a soggy crust. Using rotisserie chicken adds flavor and saves time. Pre-bake the crust if you prefer a crispier base. Grate your own cheese for the best melt and texture.
