Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the sliced potatoes and chopped onion to the skillet with the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir everything together to combine.
Cooking
  1. Cover the skillet and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  2. Remove the cover, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  3. Bake uncovered for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
