Method
Cooking Chicken
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
- Season the chicken cubes with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder. Toss well to coat every piece.
- Add the chicken to the hot skillet. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
- Turn the heat down to medium and add the minced garlic. Stir constantly for 1 minute so the garlic becomes fragrant but does not burn.
- Remove the chicken from the heat and set it aside in a bowl.
Assembling Wraps
- Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread a tablespoon of garlic aioli or mayo in the center of each tortilla.
- Sprinkle a quarter of the cheese onto each tortilla, then top with a quarter of the cooked garlic chicken.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and roll it up tightly to form a wrap.
Toasting Wraps
- Wipe the skillet clean and return it to medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the pan.
- Toast for 1-2 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese inside has completely melted. Serve warm.
Notes
These wraps pair well with a fresh salad, sweet potato fries, or tomato soup. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan for best results. Use plant-based cheese for a dairy-free option.
