  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets Can substitute with frozen broccoli.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a mix) Experiment with different cheese types.
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup Can substitute with cream of mushroom soup.
  • 1 cup cooked rice (optional) Rice is optional; can substitute with quinoa.
  • 1/2 cup milk Use dairy-free alternatives for a dairy-free version.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli, cheese, cream of chicken soup, milk, rice (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  2. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve as a standalone meal or with a side salad or crusty bread. Top with chopped parsley or sliced green onions for added freshness. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 2 months.
