For the filling
  • 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables Can substitute with favorite cooked veggies.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
For the topping
  • 1 package Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix Prepare according to package instructions.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For a cheesy finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
  3. Pour the chicken mixture into a pie dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Prepare the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix according to the package instructions, then spread it over the chicken mixture to form a thick layer.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the biscuit layer.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a garden salad or steamed vegetables. For longer storage, freeze the pie wrapped tightly.
