Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
- Prepare the biscuit mix according to the package instructions using the cold butter. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the greased baking dish.
Egg Mixture
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs until fluffy. Add in the whole milk (or heavy cream), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Fold in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and any optional fillings such as cooked bacon, sausage, or sautéed vegetables.
Baking
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the biscuit layer in the prepared dish.
- Top with more shredded cheddar cheese before placing it in the oven.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the casserole is golden brown and set in the center.
- Let it rest for 5–10 minutes after baking to allow it to firm up.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh fruit or a salad. Can be stored in the refrigerator for 3–4 days or frozen in individual portions.
