Cooking
- In a slow cooker, combine the beef broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the brisket in the slow cooker and cover it with the sautéed onion and garlic mixture.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the brisket is fork-tender.
- Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest before shredding with two forks.
- Serve with the cooking juices drizzled over the top.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months. Searing the onions and garlic builds essential flavor.
