  • 3 cups Apples (peeled and diced) Best to use sweet-tart varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted) Unsalted
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar Can be substituted with granulated sugar mixed with molasses
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 4 oz Cream cheese (softened) Can substitute with mascarpone or dairy-free alternative
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk Adjust for desired glaze consistency

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the cinnamon rolls into bite-sized pieces and set them aside.
  3. In a baking dish, layer the cinnamon roll pieces and diced apples.
Casserole Assembly
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Drizzle this mixture over the layered rolls and apples.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is puffed and golden brown.
Glaze Preparation
  1. While it's baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
Serving
  1. Once baked, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm casserole and serve immediately.
