  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning For seasoning the chicken
  • 8 oz tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For cooking the chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream For the sauce
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Chopped parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Cook the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
Cooking the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. While the sauce is cooking, boil the tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
Combining
  1. Add the cooked tortellini and sliced chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a kick of heat, consider adding a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
