Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Chicken
- Season the sliced chicken with Cajun seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
Sautéing the Vegetables
- In the same skillet, add bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
Combining the Ingredients
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta, chicken, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of cream or broth. Freezing is also possible in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months.
