  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and chocolate chips (if using). Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm, with ice cream or dusted with powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
