Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and chocolate chips (if using). Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
Serve warm, with ice cream or dusted with powdered sugar. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
