Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 500 g bread flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 10 g salt
  • 10 g active dry yeast
  • 6 large eggs
  • 250 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 120 ml milk, warm

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the yeast mixture and eggs.
  4. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Gradually add the softened butter and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  6. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Punch down the dough, divide it into equal pieces, and shape them into buns before placing them on a baking sheet.
  3. Let the buns rise again for about 30 minutes.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until they are a lovely golden brown.
  5. Cool before serving.

Notes

For perfect brioche buns, use high-quality ingredients and give the dough enough time to rise properly. Variations include herbed, cinnamon sugar, and cheese-stuffed buns.
