Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the bread flour, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the yeast mixture and eggs.
- Mix until a dough forms.
- Gradually add the softened butter and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough, divide it into equal pieces, and shape them into buns before placing them on a baking sheet.
- Let the buns rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until they are a lovely golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
For perfect brioche buns, use high-quality ingredients and give the dough enough time to rise properly. Variations include herbed, cinnamon sugar, and cheese-stuffed buns.
