  • 1 can crescent roll dough This forms the base of the casserole.
Egg Mixture
  • 6 large eggs Whisked together with milk.
  • 1 cup milk Adds creaminess to the egg mixture.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or your choice of cheese.
  • 1 cup cooked sausage or bacon, crumbled Provides a savory flavor.
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers Optional, for added flavor and color.
  • Salt and pepper to taste For seasoning the egg mixture.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a greased baking dish, forming a crust.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Add salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in cooked sausage or bacon, cheese, and vegetables if using.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the crescent roll crust.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely. Cut it into portions and store in airtight containers. It will keep in the refrigerator for about 3 to 4 days, or you can freeze portions for up to 2 months. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner.
