Preparation
- In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut into strips.
- Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with garlic powder, parmesan, or herbs if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month.
