Ingredients
  

Basic Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water Water should be around 110°F (43°C)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ tsp)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Garlic powder Optional
  • Parmesan cheese Optional
  • Herbs Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the dough and cut into strips.
  3. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with garlic powder, parmesan, or herbs if desired.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month.
