- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, black cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar and cocoa are completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
- Scoop and serve.
Notes
For best texture, consume within two weeks. Let ice cream sit out for a few minutes before scooping to soften it if it becomes too hard.
