Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 jar sausage gravy (12 oz)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat.
  3. While the sausage is cooking, cut the biscuits into quarters and spread them evenly in a greased casserole dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour this mixture over the biscuits in the casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked sausage and shredded cheese over the top, followed by the sausage gravy.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the egg is set and the biscuits are golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the casserole cool completely. Cover it tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, or transfer it to an airtight container. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 2 months. To reheat, simply bake from frozen at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until heated through.
