Baking Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until well combined. The mixture should look smooth and glossy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is fully combined and smooth.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let the brownies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
These brownies can be served plain or topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce, or powdered sugar. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
