  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Adds depth to the flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for stir frying Used for cooking the beef and broccoli.
  • To taste toasted sesame seeds, optional garnish For added crunch.
  • To taste chili oil, optional for spice Add for additional heat.

Method

Preparation
  1. Partially freeze the beef for 15 minutes before slicing to make it easier.
  2. Slice the beef as thin as possible against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  3. Cut the broccoli into small, uniform florets.
  4. Mince the garlic and fresh ginger.
  5. Boil the ramen noodles according to package directions until just tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and set aside without rinsing.
Cooking
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the beef in a single layer and sear without moving for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Toss the beef and cook for another minute until browned but still juicy. Remove the beef to a plate.
  3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the same pan. Toss in the broccoli florets, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 4 minutes until the broccoli turns vibrant green and is crisp-tender.
  4. Return the beef and cooked noodles to the pan with the broccoli. Pour in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Toss everything together vigorously for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Top with green onions and sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or steamed dumplings. For spiciness, drizzle chili oil over before serving.
