Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 pieces eggs Should be at room temperature.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool before serving to enhance the flavors and texture.
