Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, along with the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- If you’re using any add-ins, incorporate them at this stage, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish or onto a lined baking sheet, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature and don't overmix.
